Dr Muhammad Reza Kazimi (b. Bombay, 1945) teaches and supervises research at the University of Karachi in the fields of Islamic, Pakistan and European Studies. His publications include Liaquat Ali Khan: His Life & Work (2003/2015), A Concise History of Pakistan (2009) and The Blood of Husayn (2011), and monographs SAMA 2015 including The Raja of Mahmudabad: A Political Study, The 1965 Indo-Pakistan War--A Historical Appraisal, and Z. A Bhutto & The Historiography of 1971. He has written papers on Nahj al-Balagha: Text & Context, Mas'udi & Cultural Geography and a review article on The Oxford History of Islam. Dr Kazimi has also published literary criticism in Urdu.

Rifaat Hamid Ghani describes herself as a drifter. She is proud to have worked as a producer in Aslam Azhar's managed Karachi PTV station and assistant editor in S. R. Ghauri's edited Morning News and Ahmed Ali Khan's Dawn.

Presently she is teaching English General to A Level students at one of Karachi's private schools.

Muhammad Reza Kazimi obtained his M. A. in Islamic History and Ph.D in Pakistan Studies from the University of Karachi. From 1970-2000 he taught at Sindh government colleges, and from 2000 to 2013 he was a professional editorial consultant. Dr Kazimi has taught at the Karachi University, Aga Khan University, M. A. Jinnah University and Iqra University intermittently. At present he is Visiting Professor at the Area Study Centre for Europe, University of Karachi. He is the author of the pioneering treatise on Pakistan's first Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan: His Life and Work (Karachi, 2003) and of A Concise History of Pakistan (Karachi, 2009).
